CATCO's market hours clock calculates regular trading sessions from the current time in each exchange's time zone. It is a schedule-based clock, not a live exchange feed, and does not adjust for holidays or early closes. Crypto is shown as a continuous market.
How it works
Each venue is evaluated in its official IANA time zone against its regular weekday schedule. The next state change is calculated from the upcoming local open, break, reopen or close.

A regular New York session
An ordinary NYSE trading day with no holiday or early close, at 10:00 a.m. New York time.
The regular 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. session is 6 hours 30 minutes long. At 10:00 a.m., 6 hours remain.
The regular-hours clock shows an open session and a six-hour countdown to close.

Frequently asked questions
Is the stock market open on weekends?
Major stock exchanges normally close on weekends, while cryptocurrency venues commonly operate around the clock. Holiday calendars can also close weekday sessions.
Why do exchange times move in my local time?
Markets follow their own local time zones. Daylight-saving changes occur on different dates, so the apparent offset can change during the year.
Are extended hours included?
The primary status focuses on regular sessions. Check your broker and exchange for pre-market, post-market and instrument-specific access.
